In Spin Cycle, women become entangled with the machines designed to clean, restore, and repeat. Set within a surreal domestic landscape, the work examines the relationship between femininity, labor, and identity. The endless rotation of the washing cycle becomes a metaphor for the social expectations that continue to shape women’s lives. Through absurdity and visual playfulness, the painting challenges the boundaries between duty, autonomy, and selfhood.
